D2 wasn't what I hoped it would be. At first I said ”hey, this is cool” but after a while I realised that my love for the first game was greater. I loved it.Then, it was time for Diablo 2. I even learned at the time how to mod it, edited some of the enemies, installed a few mods found online and such. This being said, I have no idea about the community around D3 or what the multiplayer looks like.I've totally loved the first Diablo game back at the end of the '90s.
It's still good from time to time. I considered trading my D3 copy for something else, but I'm gonna keep it out of nostalgy for the other 2. It's good for a mindless game, but shitty from an adult gamer's point of view. What little RPG you found in the first 2 games is gone from this one (yeah, you can argue, there are still stats, skills, items to choose from, but have you played Baldur's Gate? Neverwinter Nights? anything from the Might&Magic series?).So in the end, it all depends on what you're looking for.
